Read the 2007 news article about the charter group which was selected last year. The deadline for applications for the 2008-2009 academic year has passed. The application process will begin again next spring.

Here is what current Student Ambassador have to say about their experience:

Being a Student Ambassador has a triple incentive because it gives you recognition as a serious student, it develops relationships with facility and community, as well as building leadership qualities you will need as a professional later in your career.
– Angela Jobe

Being a Student Ambassador has opened up many new opportunities for me at SCC. I have made a lot of new friends, become better acquainted with the faculty/staff, and benefited academically by participating in events that have broadened my scope of learning about the world in general. The benefits reaped from being an Ambassador far out weigh the 40 hours worked each semester. It is a great experience that I would recommend to anyone who qualifies.

– Angela C. Thornton

It has been an honor to represent SCC at campus and community events. I have had excellent learning experiences, and the opportunity to network with community leaders, and develop leadership and public relations skills. I have been able to share first-hand information about my college experience to new students to assist them in transitioning into college.
– DeLyla Bunch
