SCC PTA students plan gospel concert to benefit Foundation for Physical Therapy at Adair County Middle School March 21

Physical Therapist Assistant students enrolled at Somerset Community College will host a gospel concert to benefit physical therapy research on Saturday, March 21, at Adair County Middle School in Columbia beginning at 6 p.m. (CST, 7 p.m. EST).

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Foundation for Physical Therapy’s 2009 Georgia State-Marquette Challenge, a fundraising competition in which physical therapy programs compete nationally. Somerset Community College received the Outstanding PTA Program Award in the 2008 competition.

The event coordinator, Yulanda Bradshaw, serves as president of her class and is a well known performer. “I have always loved gospel music because it is my way of praising God and thanking Him,” stated Bradshaw. “This is a way to raise money for a worthwhile cause while doing something that I love to do.”

Scheduled performers include Yulanda Bradshaw, April Callahan, Ricardo Hughes, Shawn Samuel, and Carly Lloyd, among others.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
